Our client, a leading manufacturer of Audio Products & Components is seeking an experienced Distribution Sales Manager for its US business unit.
Candidates must be located in US, preferably in the Eastern or Central TIme zones
Travel throughout the United States, Canada, Required. Occasional visits to Europe for Trade Events
Current US passport mandatory
This position is similar to a Manufacturer's Sales Representative role.
Contract role. Competitive compensation and commission plan.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with distributors, dealers, OEM accounts and end users to promote the firm's audio component product lines. Assist with technical and sales related issues.
Maximize long standing relationships at all levels of the supply chain (OEM, Tier 1, and Sub-Tier)
Develop sales plans, complete with goals, strategies, deadlines and metrics.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams to heightened levels of achievement while meeting established deadlines.
Present, promote and sell products to prospective customers
Drive demand through effective marketing efforts, including lead and demand generation campaigns, channel partner training and enablement
Proactively monitor and assess supply chain management. Generate and deliver reports to corporate management on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Experience, Education and Skills Requirements:
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
Must have professional audio industry, technical and market sector experience.
Experience with installed performance sound, speakers, microphones, electroacoustic transducers, etc. highly desired
Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
Relationship management skills and ability to build productive business partnerships.
Some degree of manufacturing knowledge and electro-mechanical experience
Ability to build relationships with Sales organizations and internal customers.
Technical support for new business acquisition, including development of technology messaging/demos, and alignment of OEM product strategy
Participate at industry events through presentations, speaking engagements, panel engagements and other trade show activities.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with CRM practices.
English language proficiency required
Bilingual Spanish helpful
