  • Our client, a leading Managed Services Provider to Enterprise and Government customers is hiring a team of Customer Network Engineers in several locations around the USA.

This role is a Customer-facing hands-on technical role that will handle the implementation, troubleshooting, configuration and project delivery of complex customer network services projects, including migrations and upgrades.

The hiring firm is an innovator in the managed services market including Connectivity Cloud Services and Applications (VoIP, UCaaS, VTC), Managed Security Services (Cybersecurity, SOC, SD-WAN/SASE, DDOS), and Mobility platforms (MDM, UEM, IoT)

These positions work closely with company teams in the Network Engineer and Network Operations Center (NOC) and will eventually require regular office or NOC presence in one of the firm’s locations (Metro NY/NJ, Salt Lake City, Northern VA/MD (“DMV”), Denver) Full-time WFH/Virtual office work will not be offered after the return to offices has occurred.

These are full-time, direct-hire roles, not contract positions.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a strong preference for Computer Science focus or equivalent experience.
    • Team player: MUST collaborate well with internal teams and external partners and stakeholders.
    • Functional Experience required: 6-8+ years as a NOC Specialist, Network Engineer, Network Architect or similar role with a Service Provider (telco, carrier, MSP) or large enterprise.
    • Industry-recognized certifications such as CCIE, CCNDP, CCDP, JNCIE are helpful. Fortinet (NSE) Network Security Expert also helpful

Technical Knowledge:

These are the technical and professional elements essential for success in this role.

Core routing and Switching, including cisco IOS.

Hands-On Troubleshooting and Configuration: Candidates must have experience with the testing and resolution of Carrier/ Telco network problems, including WAN Services, Routing Protocols (EIGRP, IPSEC, OSPF, BGP), Voice, VoIP, SIP and related technologies.

  1. should conversant in latest carrier service offerings such as SD-WAN, SASE, DDOS and similar technologies. Current knowledge in SD-WAN, SASE technology vendors (Cato Networks, Velocloud, cisco, vmware, Adtran) is highly desired

Strong knowledge of Enterprise networking, particularly Network Access technologies and devices.

Direct experience with leading network device vendors in the IAD, Access Router, WLAN.

Broad and deep experience in large, complex network upgrade projects is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, Services and Cloud Service Provider (CSPs): Direct knowledge of the capabilities, configuration and utilization of CSPs such as AWS, Azure, Google GCP, Oracle is essential for success in this role.
