Field Operations Manager - AV/IT Integration

Our client,  a leading AV/IT integrator, is looking for an experienced Field Operations Manage based in central Chicago.

This role requires regular in-office presence and at client sites. 

This role is NOT a 100% WFM role.

Responsibilities:

The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for all resources for the client site, including staff, third-party partners, subcontractors, budget, logistics, and materials.    Knowledge of AV/IT and related industry best practices are essential to success in this role.

Interact with client management and technical staff in a personable and professional manner.

Quality Control: Oversee and maintain the firm's Installation standards

Direct and manage multiple technician teams, schedules, time sheets, etc.

Create and update daily project reports for the project team

Validate installation completion and obtain project delivery sign-off from the client.

Effectively plan project phases with stakeholders and contractors.

The Manager will work with Architects, Contractors (MEP, HVAC, Carpentry, Furniture, Lighting) and ensure the delivery of projects - as designed, on time, and within budget.
 

Experience, Education, and Skills requirements

2-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Strong communication, collaboration, and customer account management skills are required

5-7+ years of experience in managing the installation and commissioning of Audiovisual Low Voltage, Electrical, CCTV, and network systems.

Candidates with experience managing Customer-facing support teams in the Telecoms, Networks, IT, CCTV/Security video, or other related markets are encouraged to apply.

Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings.  Experience with Residential or Commercial AV integration services or related services is helpful.

MS Office productivity suite: Word, Excel, Outlook required??

Nice to have, but not required.

Certifications or training from Avixa, Infocomm, or CEDIA

Candidates should have direct knowledge of SOME (Not All) of the various technical domains essential to success in this role:  AV, IT, Telecoms, Networks, Security video, and access control.

Knowledge of AV and Lighting vendors such as Crestron, Savant, Control4, HomeOS, Lutron, Ketra, and Sonos would be helpful but optional.

Some knowledge of AutoCAD is helpful.
