Our client, a leading provider of Audiovisual, Unified Communications and Broadcast Integration services is seeking a skilled AV Field Engineer to join its team.
This is a virtual office position. Candidates can work from home and are expected to travel 25-40% to customer and partner sites, as well as occasional trips to the firm’s HQ.
This position involves the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced audiovisual systems and control systems such as Crestron. AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS or CTS-I) certification is preferred.
Salary:
Level 1: $60,000 - $70,000
Level 2: $71,000 - $80,000
Level 3: $81,000- $90,000
Requirements:

Test, install, and configure all AV and Broadcast Systems including: Meeting Rooms, Projection systems, video walls and LED displays

Program and troubleshoot all AV equipment in conference rooms including routers, switchers and mixers.

Communicate with clients, Project Managers, Sales and Design Engineers as needed through all phases of the project lifecycle.

Test, install and configure the following audiovisual/videoconferencing equipment, microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards

Create, modify, & test audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) programs (as applicable)

Test remote control system programs at client and company facilities (as applicable)

Analyze and resolve all technical escalations

Additional duties will be integrated with existing responsibilities over time
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
-
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience with relevant field implementation

Must be comfortable with audiovisual cables, routers, and connectors

Knowledge of Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Extron, Polycom & Cisco equipment

Thorough knowledge of structural, equipment, and safety requirements and considerations

Certifications from Crestron, Biamp, Infocomm, and/or OSHA strongly preferred

AVIXA Certifications such as CTS or CTS-I helpful

Strong written and oral communication skills

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Valid driver's license required

Ability to function both independently and within a team
