Channel Sales Manager - LED Digital Displays (Virtual Office)

Our client, a leading vendor of Audiovisual equipment and systems, is seeking a Channel Sales Manager (CSM) for its product line comprising LED Digital Displays and management systems. This is a virtual role and can be located in USA, within one hour commute of major metropolitan airport. 25-30% travel to partner, client and trade show locations.

This role is responsible for the success of Sales, Marketing and Channel Development efforts including product launch, channel partner recruitment, enablement and sales campaigns. The CSM will also interface with product management, development and engineering teams to address market needs, and improve the products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Channel Recruitment and Sales

  • Sets goals, strategies, timelines and metrics  for Channel sales plan
  • Provides ongoing liaison with Channel Partners (VARs, Systems Integrators, Consultants, Technology partners) to articulate our value proposition and facilitate their success
  • Identifies and develops Partner sales/marketing strategies and programs in support of Business Plan
  • Analyzes performance metrics and provides strategic business counsel to Partners
  • Differentiates our offers from competitors with a focus on partner business and financial needs
  • Supports Partners in developing and presenting appropriate customer solutions
  • Work in conjunction with Account Team and Partners on major deals
  • Develop sales plans, complete with goals, strategies, deadlines and metrics
  • Interact proactively with Partners to provide the highest level of customer service
  • Create and analyze sales reports, identify issues contributing to success or shortcomings and take any corrective action indicated
  • Identify and Develop Partner sales/marketing strategies and programs
  • Differentiate our offers from that of competitors with a focus on Partner business and financial needs

Marketing and Demand Generation

  • Works to drive demand through effective marketing efforts, including lead and demand generation campaigns, channel partner training and enablement
  • Provide input for sales and marketing collateral
  • Work with marketing team to build all types of content for inbound marketing and lead generation efforts
  • Train channel partner sales, marketing and sales engineering teams
  • Communicates regularly with Sales and Channel management to keep them apprised of all developments and exchanging relevant information
  • Function as company spokesman for conferencing product lines through earned and paid media: interviews, blog articles, podcasts, articles
  • Participate at industry events through presentations, speaking engagements, panel engagements and other trade show activities

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, a technical or related field preferred
  • In lieu of formal education, incumbent must have 7-10 years of progressively responsible, directly related experience enabling the performance of the position requirements
  • 5-7 years Channel sales experience, preferably to ProAV Channel Partners, VARs, and Systems Integrators.
  • Strong technical and market knowledge in LED/OLED Digital Displays, Digital Signage and DOOH verticals.
