AV TECHNICAL OPERATIONS MANAGER - GREATER HOUSTON AREA

Our client is a leading provider of AV Integration and Hotel Live Events. They are seeking a AV Technical Operations Manager for a major client, a leading hotel located in Greater Houston, TX. This role will involve managing the daily activities and workflows of the company’s AV event services business offsite.

This position is primarily offsite servicing the company’s client, a hotel located just outside Houston
 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Interact with hotel audiovisual management, support, and event planners

  • Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise resources and activities required to meet objectives

  • Supervising and Scheduling the staffing of technicians for all hotel events and meetings

  • Timely and accurate billing and invoicing

  • Inventory control

  • Maintain high visibility within assigned locations

  • Contingency technician (as needed) which may include assisting in configuration, setup and break down of audiovisual equipment in addition to physical configuration

  • Perform site visits with clients and/or event planners to determine individual standards for onsite productions of av technician support

  • Respond to technical RFPs and RFQs

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum 1-2 years of audiovisual management experience in hospitality environments

  • 3 years or more AV technical experience

  • Experience in managing teams of technicians

  • Knowledge of operating audio visual equipment including audio, lighting, staging, video, and data

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong Customer service skills

  • Must be able to manage and collaborate with others on many different levels

  • Professional demeanor and presentation - wear business attire

 

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS 

  • Four-year college degree (preferred

  • CTS and AV industry certifications (preferred)
