Federal Sales Executive, Virtualization and Software Packaging
Candidate Based in Northern Virginia/ Maryland/Wash, DC beltway
Strong preference for candidates with current US government security clearances.
Our client, a leading virtualization and software packaging software provider, is seeking an experienced Federal Sales Executive responsible for sales to the DoD and Civilian agencies
The hiring firm is in a rapid growth phase and is in need enthusiastic, customer-oriented hunters of new business that have experience selling to large (10K+ users) Microsoft deployments.
This firm is venture-backed and has active technology partnerships with Microsoft and Citrix that are generating significant sales opportunities in the Federal sector.
A capacity to generate and qualify pipeline opportunities is critical for success. Identifying decision makers in the U.S. Federal Government and developing relationships to grow the accounts is required. The typical economic buyer is a CIO or CTO. Qualified candidates will have a history of calling upon the C-suite.
Work closely with sales support, marketing, sales engineering and solutions teams to close complex deals.
Experience selling through and to VAR/SI channel partners essential
Experience selling in tandem with technology alliance partners (ISVs, Microsoft, Citrix) essential
You should have experience selling one or more for the following:
Software Packaging: Microsoft SCCM, vmWare, AppV, ThinApp
Virtualization & Networking: vmWare, Citrix
Demonstrated experience in closing $250K to 1M+ enterprise and program license deals
Strong sales reporting and pipeline forecasting via CRM and other tools required.
Requires strong online demonstration skills and preferably experience with webinar/ demo services such as Webex, Go-To-Meeting
Candidates should have both formal sales training and several years’ experience selling with a structured sales methodology such as Miller-Heiman, TAS, MEDDIC, Sandler Solutions Selling, SPIN Selling, Dale Carnegie or similar programs.
