Our client, a leading software and services provider headquartered in Downtown NYC, is seeking a veteran HR professional to drive talent-focused projects and processes to support the firm’ s global growth initiatives. This role, Senior HR Generalist, is best-suited to candidates who thrive on managing high-visibility HR efforts, partnering with Executive and Line Managers, and delivering against ambitious goals. Successful candidates can be from a variety of backgrounds, including senior HR staff and HR management at technology start-ups or more mature, dynamic growth firms.

Attitude is everything in this role, as the Senior HR Generalist will serve the business leaders in a strategic advisory capacity, supporting executive management’ s growth vision and executing on time-bounded projects. The role will also deal with everyday operational and HR issues regarding Talent Management: succession planning, talent performance and development, compensation, benefits and management coaching.
In consultation with executive, business unit and departmental managers, own Talent Management programs, process and systems to deliver against company goals.
Work with company leadership on organizational design and operations.
Drive change management, internal communications, and employee messaging.
Create and execute HR programs to support talent pipeline, talent development and succession planning.
Build employee onboarding, engagement and training programs to drive performance.
Work with recruiting team and executive management on strategic hires.
Support recruiting team on talent acquisition initiatives and pipeline.
Lead special projects to bring firm in line with world-class HR best practices.
Benefits, Compensation and Employee Relations:
The Senior HR Generalist will work on strategic initiatives and tactical issues in these areas.
Work with HR Department and Finance on Compensation planning and reporting, with P&L and competitiveness in mind.
Function as Voice of the Employee, advising management on employee morale, company employer brand health, risks to firm’ s performance and competitiveness.
Working with line management, perform position/role reviews. Create and optimize new roles as the growth plan requires.
Reporting, Metrics and Dashboards
Executive, business unit and departmental management teams require regular, reliable and readable reporting to monitor performance and progress.
The Senior HR Generalist will utilize HRIS, CRM and other systems to build, optimize and distribute reports and dashboards that track HR and Talent initiatives’ progress.
Reporting, Metrics and Dashboards will inform and complement the Senior HR Generalist consultative approach to supporting management’ s business decisions.
This position is located in DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN, easy walking distance from Wall St., Bowling Green and The Liberty Tower. Regular office presence is mandatory, and candidates should expect to travel regularly (up to 25%) to the firm’ s various offices in the US and UK.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor' s Degree required, Master’ s helpful.
10+ years of Human Resources experience, with consistent track record of achievement on strategic HR projects.
PHR or other SHRM certification helpful.
Strong preference for candidates who have recent experience in a “ broad and deep” HR role at a mid-sized, high-growth software vendor or IT-related company that is headquartered in the NY-NJ region.
5+ years of experience in several of the following HR-related domains:
Reporting, Analytics, Dashboards, Decision Support
HRIS migration, integration and optimization
Organizational Design and Planning
Have a pro-active approach, high sense of urgency.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Strong organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail, to include writing and documentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills, in heavy multi-tasking environment.
Proficient Microsoft Office or Google Apps productivity suite skills.
