Our client, who is a leading provider of information security products and services, is currently looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with a STRONG GRC background to support their Central US sales region.
Experience in Information Technology Governance, Risk, and Compliance (IT GRC) is a MUST!
Provide Pre-Sales and Post-Sales support through working closely with technical engineers.
Providing technical solutions for our clients regarding security software products and services.
Develop and maintain a broad range of knowledge and application, trends and issues as they relate to firm’ s products and services.
Attend tradeshows and provide presentations online and offline.
Collect feedback and identify technical improvements.
Become the point of contact and answer all technical questions regarding proposal, installations, configurations, products and services.
Work with engineers to provide technical solutions to customers.
Be technically adept and professional with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Other responsibilities include professional development and certification, mentoring and training junior engineers and improving overall customer relations through technical delivery and communications skills.
Develop territory and account sales strategies with the regional account team
Provide expert consultation to the customer in the firm' s ' best practices', processes technologies and techniques gleaned from industry exposure.
Provide technical support in sales/product presentations, product positioning and product demonstrations.
Build proof of concept report templates based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the product.
Understand the requirements of a project from scoping, expectation setting, requirements gathering, customer signoff, general project planning, and customer success / failure reports.
Discover the business drivers from various levels and determine how they map to the issues at the operational side.
Travel as necessary, 10-20%
Experience, Education and Skills:
BA or BS degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience is desired.
Relevant certifications considered a plus * CISSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, SSCP, CAP, GIAC, etc.
5+ years of Sales Engineering experience.
Minimum 3 years in Governance, Risk Management, Compliance (GRC) sector, working for a technology vendor or service provider in a revenue-producing (sales, pre-sales) or customer-facing technical capacity.
Experience handling confidential information in a professional manner.
This position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and grammatically-correct written communications.
Experience in any of the fields of information security, business continuity, business process analysis, or information technology program management considered a plus.
Experience in the implementation of security programs and policies designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities.
Excellent presentation skills for delivery of customer and prospect webinars, demos and in-person presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
