Regional Sales Manager - AV/VTC - St. Louis, MO.

Our client, a leading provider of Video Conferencing, Audio Visual Integration and Managed Conferencing Services, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in  the St. Louis market.

This is an executive level management position, responsible for all aspects of   revenue generation within the territory, including customer acquisition, account management; hiring, motivation, management and firing of sales representative; liaison with internal departments, and outside vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.

This position will manage remote/virtual sales reps, and must be located St. Louis Metropolitan area.
Successful candidates MUST have the following to be considered for interviews:
  • 3+ years of Sales Management.
  • 7+ years of consistent sales success in the network systems integrator or reseller market, particularly several of the following areas: network infrastructure, network security, VoIP, SIP, Unified Communications, Videoconferencing and Collaboration.
  • Extensive experience in the recruitment, training, management, motivation of skilled Account Executives.
  • 10+ years of outside sales experience with at least 5+ years in videoconferencing sales, telecommunications services sales or AV integration sales is preferred.

  • Responsible to manage the existing sale steam for the region.  
  • Self-starter with experience and desire to acquire new business.
  • Adept at prospecting, funnel management and closing business.
  • Demonstrated success as a top sales performer, consistently exceeding quota.
  • Candidates should have experience selling network services, unified communications, voip, sip, h.323, cisco telepresence, tandberg, polycom, codian, lifesize, extron, Creston, AMX products, as well as integration, professional and managed services.
  • Candidates should have managed direct enterprise sales teams in several of the following markets: network infrastructure, network security, VoIP, SIP, Unified Communications, Videoconferencing and Collaboration.

  • Previous selling experience should include a focus on the full range of prospecting, selling and closing.
  • Must have the ability to prospect, sell and close at multiple levels.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry and define and execute sales strategies and communicate clearly and concisely through professional presentations.
  • The Regional Vice President of Sales will be responsible for managing the sales cycle (account planning, sales execution, pipeline/funnel management) and forecast accurately.
  • Strong Data and managed network services competencies.
  • This position requires strong Account Management and client interface and presentation skills.
  • In depth understanding of client business drivers, strategy and buying cycles.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience selling into the enterprise and or carrier telecommunications marketplace.
  • Bachelor’ s degree, telecommunications experience may substitute for part of education requirement.
  • Basic computer knowledge: MS Office, strong presentation skills, and contact management software experience.
  • Preferred knowledge and skills: Technical knowledge of network equipment.
  • Strong experience in sales management and sales training, preferably one or more of the following:   Miller-Heiman, Solutions Selling, Targeted Account Selling (TAS)
  • Strong quantitative skills, required for accurate sales pipeline/ sales funnel management, as well as financial reporting to management and internal departments.
