Our client, a leading developer of Security Policy Software solutions and services is seeking a Project Manager for their professional services team, located in Northern NJ office. This is not a virtual office role, and requires 5 days per week in the local NJ office.
Plan interim timetables to ensure teams on the projects remain on schedule.
Run reports, generate documents and forms, and provide quality control.
Keep a close connection with clients and customers and understand the with the team members of the project.
Aggressively update, document and record all backlogged entries.
Develop reports and keep up to date with the firm’ s SLA (service level agreements) and manage SOW (Statement of Work).
Schedule and organize meetings, manage changes, document release dates, and checklists.
Provide training, guidance, motivation and support to project team members.
Manage multiple projects using project planning and budgeting skills.
Communicate all changes and maintain an effective communication on all professional levels.
Present oral/written reports and project presentations
Create contingency plans and anticipate other variations that may affect the success of the projects at hand.
Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
Travel up to 10% is required.
Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications:
Bachelor’ s Degree in computer science or related fields along with experience in Project Management, Consulting.
Project Management Professional (PMI) certification is preferred, bit not required.
Industry certifications in Network or Security technology (such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, GEAC, QSA, ISA, CTGA) helpful but not required.)
Experience creating and using GANTT Charts.
Must be able to understand critical path of projects, project flow, process planning, implementation and control.
3-5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects
3-5+ years of experience in project management
Strong preference for candidates with experience working in customer-facing PM roles at technology vendor, service provider or systems integrator.
Must have strong financial analysis skills. Extensive spreadsheet experience (MS Excel)
Experience in creating and executing customer quality and success materials, such as checklists and procedures.
Knowledge of networking and security technologies helpful
Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) technologies preferred.
Strong business productivity software skills, especially including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, etc.
Must have exceptional written and oral communications.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work individually and as a team player.
Must have strong decision making skills and a problem solver.
