Channel Account Manager, Telecommunications - Chicagoland

Our client, a leading provider of telecommunications software services, is currently seeking a Channel Account Manager to join their team. Qualified candidates should have both a technical background and sales experience.

Responsibilities: 
  • Exceed sales quota on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing long-term client relationships and referrals
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and customers of the solutions that best address and resolve their business issues
  • Find, qualify, engage and close new strategic sales opportunities
  • Effectively communicate our client’ s technical solutions to resellers, prospects, and customers
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives, tasks and clients
  • Raise awareness of our client’ s solutions to resellers through onboarding and training
  • Collaborate with manufacturer channels to develop direct opportunities within their supported resellers
  • Work within specialized vertical groups to develop relationships and opportunities for our Client’ s vertical-specific solutions 

Education, Skills & Experience Requirements:
  • MUST have 3 or more years’ experience in Software Sales, includes SaaS and/or Managed Services
  • Experience working with Value Added Resellers in a sales functioning role
  • Knowledge of Telecom, UC, and/or VoIP technology preferred
  • Experience selling Call Reporting Software, Call Recording Software and/or Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Software preferred
  • Proficiency with CRM systems
  • Technical communications certifications a plus
  • Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter and passionate team player
